Ian Ellis (Great Yarmouth & Caister) claimed the Crowlands Heath Invitational Pro-Am title after shooting a six-under-par 60.
Ellis bagged his second East region success of the year, thanks to a round that included seven birdies.
He finished three shots clear of Mark Talbott (Thorpe Hall), while James Webber (Three Rivers), Ashley Lucas (Crowlands Heath) and Stuart Brown (Thorpe Wood) were all a further stroke back.
Ellis, who started from the fourth tee, recorded a two at his third and made a further gain three holes later.
He continued in a similar vein with back-to-back birdies to lie four-under at his halfway point.
A slip-up at his 11th failed to derail the Ellis bandwagon as he closed out his round in very strong style with birdies at three of his last four holes.
Ellis took to Twitter to celebrate, messaging "Nice way to bring my run of scores in the 70s to an abrupt halt. #sixtysomething".
Webber's quartet triumphed in the team event with a score of 112 - one better than Steve Cipa's group.
