European PGA Alliance Heads to Antalya for 2024 Congress and Championship

19/11/2024

The European PGA Alliance (EPGAA) will host its 2nd Annual Congress in Antalya, Turkey, from 19th to 22nd November 2024, at the renowned Antalya Golf Club.

The Congress unites 12 PGAs from across Europe to discuss shared challenges, exchange ideas and collaborate on the growth of golf. Focused on leveraging the expertise of PGA Professionals—the driving force behind each PGA—the congress aims to promote the future of the game, strengthen mutual connections and build a collective vision for advancing golf across the continent.

This second iteration of the Congress will be attended by PGAs from Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain & Ireland, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

Running concurrently with the Congress is the inaugural EPGAA Team Championship, which will be played on the Wednesday and Thursday on the PGA Sultan course at Antalya Golf Club. The mixed competition will feature 10 teams, each consisting of three selected players from their respective PGA. The best two scores from three will count towards the total each day, and the players will compete for the trophy kindly donated by The PGA of Sweden.

GB&I will be represented by an accomplished trio of PGA Members, each bringing a wealth of experience and success: Holly Morgan, the current Women’s PGA Professional Champion; Simon Thornton, a seasoned Tour professional and winner of the 2024 PGA Play-Offs; and Daniel Croft, who finished T8 at PGA Professional Championship earlier this year and won four times in 2024 on the PGA circuit.
