Christopher Evans recorded the latest triumph of a remarkably consistent 2014 season by winning his second Midland PGA Assistants Order of Merit event at Telford Golf & Country Club.
Despite the sun, scoring conditions were difficult and Evans dominated throughout and could even afford a double bogey at the 18th on his way to a one-under-par 71, the only under par total of the day.
Four earlier birdies had seen him create a cushion that the rest of the field were unable to make an impression on.
Luke Howe (Brocton Hall) had the best opportunities but his four birdies were more than matched with dropped shots and he had to settle for a share of second with Chris Freeman (Henley), both golfers shooting 73s.
In the overall Order of Merit table it couldn't be much closer with Evans edging to the top of the table just ahead of Matthew Whelband (Park Hill) with Alec Smith (Trentham Park) also in close contention with just two events left.
Evans also won the pro-am team event with his playing partner Richard Langley, but the highlight of the day belonged to amateur golfer Tom Ferriday who recorded a hole in one at the 11th hole watched on by his pro partner Josh Charnock (Shrewsbury).
