Ex-North region champion's new career

Gary Donnison, who won the PGA North Region Championship 11 years ago, has been appointed Club Systems International's new account manager for the north of England.

The former England schoolboy international, who moved from Newcastle to Cheshire when he was appointed PGA Professional at Mobberley, will be on familiar ground as he will cover the north of England and north Wales.

He will join two existing account managers covering the area, visiting golf clubs and other clients to carry out demonstrations, install systems, provide training and offer other after-sales service.

Donnison has been a PGA Professional for 15 years - with six years as a tournament pro on the European Challenge and Europro tours - and has a track record in building relationships, having successfully organised and hosted numerous corporate events for clients as diverse as Archibald Bathgate and the RBS group.

Club Systems International's sales manager, Hilary Clamp, said: "We are sure our existing and potential clients will welcome Gary with open arms. He is an extremely affable, competent and focused individual. He also has quite a few good stories from his time on tour, so will be a popular raconteur at training sessions."
