The PGA’s Find a Golf Lesson initiative has been upgraded and will in the coming weeks be relaunched as a standalone digital platform – called PGA Play - that will continue to connect PGA Professionals with golfers looking for lessons, as well as those wanting to take up the game.
As part of The PGA’s commitment to promote Members to the wider golfing public, PGA Play will be launched to enable golfers to locate and connect with their nearest PGA Professional, as well as being inspired by a range of instruction and golf-related content.
Building on the success of Find a Golf Lesson – which delivered more than 100,000 users and hundreds of lesson enquiries - PGA Play will create additional value for Members by facilitating even more introductions from golfers directly to Members.
In addition to a standalone site – www.pgaplay.co.uk – a PGA Play ‘widget’ will be embedded in a number of external golf sites to further extend its reach.
Make sure you’re included by creating a new profile, or updating your existing Find a Golf Lesson listing so that you can be found be golfers searching for lessons.

What’s new?
The new platform is the next phase of the Find a Golf Lesson initiative and makes searching for PGA Professionals extremely easy, with PGA Member profiles having been improved to better display their expertise, specialisms and facilities.
PGA Play is an entirely FREE platform and will enable PGA Members to market themselves directly to the golfing public and benefit from the significant reach and presence of The PGA.
The project is being supported by sizeable investment in digital marketing activity to ensure that the thousands of people searching for golf lessons each month are able to find their nearest PGA Professional.
Over the coming months, we will be working with partners, PGA Members, media and other channels to promote PGA Play and drive traffic to the website, as well as helping to raise awareness of The PGA, its work and its Members more broadly.
Ultimately, this project will firmly position the PGA Professional at the very heart of the game, which will support our aim for PGA Play to be the go-to platform for coaching and instruction, providing consumers with engaging and useful content from PGA Members and confirming The PGA as the authoritative voice on golf instruction.
What else can I do?
In addition to creating/updating their profiles, PGA Members are also encouraged to share and showcase their instructional content through PGA Play.
Whether it is a coaching video, an article providing tips and advice or photos of you coaching, we want to promote your content on the new platform.
PGA Members interested in submitting videos, articles or images please do so by emailing pgaplay@pga.org.uk
What Next?
Commenting on the relaunch, Richard Barker PGA – Executive Director of Business Development, said: "This a really exciting initiative and we’re delighted to be helping PGA Members capitalise on the opportunities that the surge in interest in golf now presents. PGA Play is a huge step forward from Find a Golf Lesson and will enable Members to easily market themselves to golfers and those wanting to take up the game.
"It’s also very much part of a longer-term commitment to promoting PGA Members, with this iteration of PGA Play being ‘phase two’ of a project that began last September with Find a Golf Lesson. Looking ahead, there will be opportunities to make subsequent additions to PGA Play, which could include secondary services such as custom-fitting, retail services and integrated lesson booking. We have great ambitions for PGA Play and look forward to sharing more details of future updates in the coming months."
