Oliver Fisher returned to the club where he is an honorary member to win the West Essex Pro-Am by a shot.
European Tour winner Fisher was a junior member at West Essex as he grew up before stepping onto the international stage.
But he showed that he still knows his way around his old stomping ground with a four-under-par 66.
Fisher made three birdies and an eagle – at the par-five 10th – as he finished a shot clear of Stuart Brown (Thorpe Wood) and James Mynott (St Ives).
Brown got it to three-under with two to play but wasn’t quite able to peg back Fisher.
Mynott, who started at the 10th, played a fine inward nine of three-under including a birdie at his last. He led his team to victory by a shot on a tally of 124 – one clear of the respective quartets skipped by Fisher and David Salisbury (Three Rivers G&CC).
