A seven-man play-off had to be held at Crieff Golf Club to decide the final four qualifying places for the M and H Scottish PGA Championship.
The second round of qualifying for the event at Gleneagles in October took place on Wednesday with no fewer than seven players finishing on two-over par.
Those who advanced were Craig Armstrong (Burntisland), Murray Urquhart (Nairn), Kamran Zeynalov (Portlethen) and Iain Colquhoun (Loch Lomond).
Those who lost out in the play-off and are now listed as the first three alternates (reserves) are Jackson Bell (Lanark), Ross Neill (Drumpellier) and James Erskine (Dumfries and County).
A total of 13 players made it through to the main event, with Mark O’Donnell (Linlithgow Golf Club) winning the £100 top prize after finishing as the leading qualifier.
O’Donnell recovered from a bogey at the second to eagle the par 5 six and back-to-back birdies at the eighth and ninth put him in a strong position.
A double bogey at the 12th and 13th threatened to ruin his chances of qualifying, but four birdies in the final five holes saw him finish on five-under par 66.
Paul Robinson (Largs Golf Club) finished second on three-under par 68 and both Rory Tinker (Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort) and Michael Patterson (Kilmacolm Golf Club) shared third spot with a score of two-under par 69.
The Scottish PGA Championship will be played over the Kings Course at Gleneagles from October 16 to 19.
