Four-way tie at wet and windy Carne Pro-Am

Daniel Beattie (Deer Park Hotel), Damien McGrane, Colm Moriarty (Drive Golf Performance) and Andrew Hogan (Edmonstown GC) shared first place at the Shell Pro-Am at Carne Golf Links.

Tough wet and windy conditions made for difficult scoring on day two of the 36-hole tournament at Belmullet, Co. Mayo.

Brian McElhinney (North West GC) and Simon Thornton carded a pair of three-under-par 69s on Saturday to top the leaderboard but they struggled on Sunday and matching 77s saw them finish in a share of fifth place alongside Donal Gleeson (Old Conna GC).

Hogan guided his amateur partners of Mark Corcoran, Michael Scanlon and Cormac Holland to victory in the team event with 187 pts (98/89)
