A digital marketing expert is so convinced he has a Facebook strategy to help professionals swell their business - and their bank accounts - he is offering a four week course…..for free.

James Wilkinson, founder of Albatross Digital Golf Marketing, has already used his social media techniques to bring new members into golf clubs across the UK with impressive results. Now he is turning his attention to pros.

He is offering a one month course that will teach professionals how to master digital media - and bring in a stream of new clients.

Wilkinson said: “In 2016 we helped generate golf clubs hundreds of thousands of pounds in new revenues through membership drives using Facebook and other digital marketing techniques. We achieved a 100 per cent success rate with every club we worked with.

“So far, I have tested the course on one PGA Professional with incredible results and all in less than four weeks. I would like to create more case studies to showcase the effectiveness of the strategy, and that’s why I am offering four professionals the chance to use my strategies for nothing.”

The month will involve the professionals following a series of modules and making themselves available for a weekly coaching call. All Wilkinson asks in return is a reference and a video testimonial.

He added: “The best way to prove my systems work is to let some professionals try them out and see for themselves. I will be happy to help four pro-active professionals see the full potential of Facebook and social media.

“The modules are very easy to follow and if they stick to the system, I know they will achieve results. I really believe that, which is why I am making this offer. And I will be there to support the pros all the way with coaching calls.”

The success of the trailists will help Wilkinson determine a price structure for future users of the Facebook system. He added: “This scheme will allow me to understand what cash generating skills like these – and a full diary of new clients – are worth to professionals.

“I will say to all the trailists at the start, they can make a nominal contribution for the benefits it brings. If they implement the strategy to the letter and generate 10 or 20 new long-term clients for coaching, it will be interesting to see what they would regard as a fair price.”

Golf clubs have used Wilkinson’s schemes to great effect. Sale Golf Club is one of many who have benefitted from the Facebook-led marketing. Manager, Sam Poole, said: “We had 28 new members in nine months with represented an amazing 521 per cent return on investment.”

Steve Cookson, general manager at Bletchingley Golf Club, added: “We pulled in 33 new members in two months and our green fees were up 30 per cent in the month of July.”

Norwood Park Golf Club were so overwhelmed with new applicants after linking up with Wilkinson, they had to close membership to the men’s section after generating in the region of £20,000 extra income.

General manager Paul Thornton said: “The social media campaign was a huge success, both in terms of new members and bringing in societies. We have gained 30 new members which was beyond our expectations.”
