Gavin Hay wins young pros' pro-am

Gavin Hay (Nairn Dunbar) won today's Clan Insch young professionals' pro-am top individual prize of £511 with a one-under-par round of 68 at the Aberdeenshire course.

Hay had five birdies at the fifth, seventh, 10th, 12th and 15th - offset by four bogeys (eighth, ninth, 13th and 17th).

Hay won by two shots from David Stein (Ranfurly Castle) with third place on 72 being shared by Tom Dingwall (Kemnay) and Andrew Hutchison (Douglas Park).

Craig Goodwin (Duff House Royal) led the Insch GC committee team of Chris Wright (handicap 18), Bryan Gerrard (18) and Garry Dunn (12) to victory in the pro-am team event with a two-ball net score of 12-under-par 126.

Gavin Hay's Aberdeen Framing 1 team also had a total of 126 but lost out on a countback.
