Robert Giles (Greenore GC) and Colm Moriarty (Drive Golf Performance) carded identical rounds of 67/63 (-6) to share first place at the Dunfanaghy Pro-Am.
The duo finished a shot ahead of David Higgins (Waterville) at the two-day tournament with Dara Lernihan (Elm Park), Peter Martin (Colin Park) and Keith Shannon tied for fourth on three-under.
It was Moriarty's second win in succession, he won the Dr William Flynn Memorial tournament at Shanon GC last week. In contrast, the experienced Giles has played sparingly so far this season, with a best-place finish of tied for third at The K Club in early May.
Giles built his second round score on the front nine, going to the turn in four-under 29 with birdies at the first, second, fourth and ninth. He reached five-under for his round with a birdie at the 10th but dropped shots followed at the 11th and 13th. However, he responded with birdies at the 14th and 16th and rounded off his round with pars at 17 and 18 to come home in one-under 34.
Moriarty made a steady start to his second round and reached two-under after five holes with birdies at the second and fifth. He dropped a shot at the seventh but a birdie at the ninth saw him to the turn in two-under 31.
He picked up the pace on his way home, adding further birdies at the 10th, 11th and 13th to reach five-under before closing out his round with five pars to wrap up a mistake-free three-under-par back nine of 32.
Round one leader, Seamus Clinton (Letterkenny GC), followed up his opening round 65 with a four-over 72 that saw him slide down the leaderboard and finish in a share of 12th.
Gary Wardlow guided his amateur partners of Odhran McGettigan, Clive Davison and Conor McGettigan to the team prize with 189 points.
