Players in the Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship will have an added incentive to dress the part when they tee up in the regional qualifiers ahead of the grand final this summer.
The Scottish apparel firm is encouraging account holders and players attached to a facility with an account to wear their clothing during the qualifiers including the WPGA event and be in with a chance of winning £2,000 of stock.
The leading Glenmuir account holder wearing a Glenmuir top on the day at each qualifier will win a credit worth £150 of stock credit outright and will then be entered into the prize draw with the further chance of winning the bigger prize when it is drawn at the championship final at De Vere Slaley Hall.
The first regional qualifier takes place at Blairgowrie this coming Monday (April 29).
Glenmuir enjoys a successful business relationship with many grass roots PGA Professionals and part of that commitment is reflected in their long term support of the PGA Professional Championship dating back to 1993.
Nick Soto, head professional at Northampton Golf Club, who won the £2,000 credit last year, commented: "The Glenmuir incentive is a fantastic addition to the Championship.
"It was great to find out that I had finished in top spot wearing Glenmuir at the regional qualifier and was subsequently invited to the pre-tournament reception where the draw was made.
"The incentive is an extremely generous prize from Glenmuir and I was totally shocked to win it. Our members at Northampton Golf Club support the Glenmuir range well and we do a lot of club logo clothing so it was a massive help to increase our stock and help promote the Glenmuir brand.
"I would totally agree that it is a must for any Glenmuir account holder to wear their clothing in the qualifier."
This incentive is on top of £12,000 playing prizes on offer at the regional qualifiers and the £78,000 for the grand final at De Vere Slaley Hall from June 11-14.
Simon Higginbottom, the PGA's head of tournaments, said: "Glenmuir has been a great supporter of the PGA Professional over the years and this incentive is a great opportunity for account holders to get a business boost with additional stock at trade value.
"We would encourage as many Glenmuir account holders who have entered the qualifier to make sure they are wearing appropriate clothing and be in with a chance of this fabulous offer."
