Daniel Field (East Herts) produced a late birdie burst to land the Grim’s Dyke Pro-Am.
Field was one-under-par with five holes to play, having teed off at the 12th under a shotgun start.
But he picked up a stroke at three straight holes from the seventh to get to four-under before closing out with two pars for a 65.
That left Field one ahead of runner-up Stuart Brown (Thorpe Wood) who didn’t drop a single shot in finishing with a three-under 66.
It was Field’s second East region victory of the season, having also triumphed at Essendon in June.
James Taverner (Hendon) led the winning team on 118 – one clear of the quartets headed by Murray White and James Jankowski (IGC London).
