Barnehurst’s Jordan Godwin and Manston Golf Centre’s Max Brackley tied for victory to split the winner’s pot at the Wellesley Wealth Advisory PGA Pro-Am.

Played over The Downs course at Golf at Goodwood, both shot sizzling six-under-par rounds to notch up impressive cards of 42 points* each to pick up the winners’ cheques.  ProAgenda.com’s Guy Woodman made 39 points for second spot.

Starting on the 9th, Godwin’s round was flawless, and although he made just the two birdies in his first 10 holes, he charged though the next six with four more birdies for his 66 and 42 points.

Starting on the 17th, Brackley soon got into gear with a deuce at the first but gave it back at the next hole. The same happened on the fourth and fifth, but with another deuce on the eighth, Brackley hit top gear and delivered five more birdies, four of them on his last four holes.

In the Pro-Am Pairs BetterBall event, it was Godwin who came out on top playing with amateur partner Kevin Weatherill, scoring 46 points. Brackley led amateur partner Grant Popham into second spot with 45, and ProAgenda.com’s Woodman playing with Wellesley MD Tony Hannigan came third.

In the PGA South Money List, St. George’s Hill’s Andy Raitt still has a narrow lead over Woodman, closely followed by the new CK Group PGA Southern Pros champion, Cooden Beach’s Paul Nessling.
