GoKart, the top selling manufacturer of the latest thing in golf trolleys, has become an Associate of The PGA in England (South), forming another winning combination for new retail sales opportunities.
The Canterbury-based company has been manufacturing, selling and servicing GoKarts since 2007 and sales success and good margins allied to a burgeoning reputation for one-to-one after sales support has enabled GoKart to develop a fast growing retail network.
GoKart is the latest in a number of south-based companies to join the flourishing Associate programme and with it access to a thousand strong PGA Professionals employed at the heart of golf facilities in the region which annually generate revenue of more than £150million.
Sam Smith, Secretary of The PGA in England (South), commented: “We’re delighted to have GoKart on board and working closely with the Associate programme.
“It’s a perfect fit for a growing company that is looking to make an increasing impact in the golf market and hopefully many of our members will take advantage of their excellent product.”
GoKart director Sandy Catford added: “We see the Associate programme as an ideal opportunity to strengthen our ties with grassroots PGA Professionals and help give us added impetus to what is an exciting new era development for golf trolleys.”
Designed and made in the UK, the GoKart is designed to offer a 21st century solution to the battery-driven trolley.
Made from very strong but lightweight materials, the company has created a product that is robust, folds down to a much more compact size than its main competitors, and is very light to pick up when folded - ideal when you have to lift, carry and place it in the back of a car.
The GoKart has two models - the Standard with a manually set speed control and the Automatic whose revolutionary new handle responds to the pressure of the golfer’s hand while the trolley matches walking pace. Following their own research with PGA Professionals, the GoKart team has also worked hard at delivering after sales support with positive feedback from a number of professionals.
Steve Mitchell (Etchinghill GC) was among them, saying: “Our customers love them as they are slightly different, easy to assemble and take down, and not expensive. The price points are great and the after sales service really is amazing.”
Paul Everard (Canterbury GC) echoed those sentiments, adding: “With anything that’s mechanical or electrical, the club professional needs to know that the support is going to be good. Go Kart is brilliant, dealing with things on an almost next day basis.”
