Golf clubs in Republic of Ireland to close under COVID restrictions

21/10/2020

The Irish Government has announced it will be moving to Level 5 COVID restrictions for six weeks from midnight tonight (October 21, 2020).

This means that golf clubs in the Republic of Ireland must close, although course maintenance is permitted.

The PGA - along with GUI and ILGU - is still seeking clarity from Sport Ireland on whether driving ranges and practice facilities can remain open. Clarity is also being sought regarding teaching at these venues.

Any new information will be communication to PGA Members in the Republic of Ireland as soon as we receive it.
