The PGA has strengthened its longstanding partnership with Golfplan by signing a two-year extension until 2019.

Golfplan, which specialises in golf-related insurance products and is an associate sponsor of The PGA Pro-Captain Challenge, offers an attractive commission incentive to PGA professionals and will pay £20 for each new sale it makes from customers they introduce.

Commenting on extending Golfplan’s long relationship with The PGA, commercial director Colin Greenhill, said: “We’re excited to be continuing as a PGA partner and associate sponsor of the Pro-Captain Challenge tournament and look forward to working with the PGA team over the next two years.

“Golfplan offer golf related insurance products to PGA pros and their clients across the UK. It is now part of A-Plan Holdings allowing us to broaden the products we can offer them.

“These include home, motor, van and commercial insurance products. Like the PGA we believe in the value that a local professional advisor can provide to a client, making sure they have the peace of mind that they are covered for any unfortunate events, or fortunate events if they happen to have a hole-in-one.

“What’s more Golfplan always looks to use a local PGA Professional to source replacement items. It prides itself on a claims service that is built on local knowledge and with a personal touch.”

PGA chief executive Robert Maxfield added: “The PGA has a number of significant relationships in the golf industry, none more so than with Golfplan, a longstanding PGA Partner.

“So we’re delighted that relationship is set to continue for the next two years.”
