Golfx Platinum PS

A brand NEW seminar format aiming to tap into the knowledge of Professionals new to public speaking!

Inspired by the format and style of the now legendary ‘TEDx’ presentations, ‘GOLFx’ makes its debut at The PGA National Training Academy on Monday 31 October 2016. This 1-day coaching conference offers all PGA members and assistants in training the opportunity to present cutting-edge coaching issues to their peers during a 20 minute presentation and 10 minute Q&A session. What makes GOLFx different from other coaching conferences? GOLFx presenters should have little or no previous experience of public speaking.

GOLFx initiator and PGA Advanced Fellow Professional – Ian Peek – recently said:

“Having been involved in a lot of coaching CPD throughout the UK and Ireland in recent years I know just how many knowledgeable golf coaches are out there and I think it’s time they were heard.

“GOLFx is an ‘entry-level’ coaching conference giving golf coaches new to public speaking a platform to present their work and philosophies. I am absolutely delighted that the PGA’s Member Education Department are giving GOLFx their full support. On the day I will act as MC and I’ll also act as mentor and ‘critical friend’ to those chosen to speak in the weeks and months leading up to the conference.

“The plan is to have up to 10 speakers presenting on the day which promises to be exciting, a valuable learning experience, and hopefully a platform for more PGA Professionals to get recognition and continue educating.”

The PGA’s Head of Member Education (and PGA Advanced Fellow Professional) – David Colclough – said this about the brand new format:

“At the PGA we are always looking for new ways to help PGA Professionals learn and develop, and we hope that this new format will not only educate the many attendees about different coaching methodologies, but it will also help those ‘taking to the stage for the first time’ to develop and grow! In fact, the winner of GOLFx will also be offered a 1-day seminar slot on the PGA’s Member Education Programme in 2017!”

Are you interested in presenting at the inaugural GOLFx event? Do you want to share your experiences, research and opinions with fellow peers? Yes? Then you need to complete this short application form.
