Greenwood more than a match for Streeter

Dan Greenwood claimed the scalp of his great rival Paul Streeter to land the Lincolnshire Matchplay Championship at Sleaford.

The Forest Pines ace overcame Adam Keogh (Spalding) 3&2 in his semi final with Streeter (Lincoln Golf Centre) joining him following a 4&3 win over Stephen Bennett (Waltham Windmill).

The match between the two big guns was a suitably close affair with Greenwood emerging as  the victor 2&1.

The presentation took place at a dinner at the club that evening where Streeter received the Order of Merit trophy following a dominant season. Greenwood finished as runner up with Keogh picking up the leading trainee of the season award.
