David Griffiths (West Herts) produced a classy display to win the Berkhamsted Pro-Am by two shots.

The former European Tour player recorded a three-under-par 68, comprised of four birdies and a single dropped shot.

It was his first victory of the season and stands him in good stead for this week’s Galvin Green PGA Assistants’ Championship at Little Aston.

There was a three-way tie for second place with Jack Frances (Old Fold Manor), James Scade (Ingrebourne Links) and Peter Cherry (Ashridge) all shooting one-under-par 70s.

Frances took on his good form to the Colchester Pro-Am in which he tied at the top alongside Noel Quinn (Whipsnade Park).

They notched respective three-under-par 67s but both bogeyed their final holes. Quinn, who started at the 11th, dropped a stroke on 10, while Frances did likewise at the 18th,, leaving the pair to share the spoils.

Andrew Robinson (Southwold), Kieran James (North Circular Golf) and Glynn Harris (Mill Hill) finished in tied-third place after all firing two-under-par 68s.

Meanwhile, Chris Cutchie (Colchester) shot a four-under-par 68 that included no less than seven birdies to land The Grove Pro-Am by two strokes from Scade.
