Richard O'Hanlon continued to show his class by winning the professional prize in the Cornwall Alliance meeting at Trevose.
The Point at Polzeath pro finished the day four shots ahead of the chasing pack after an impressive four-under-par round of 67.
This left Paul Turpin (Carlyon Bay), home pro Gary Lenaghan and Ross Whitelock (St Mellion) in second place. Antony Nash (St Enodoc) was fifth one shot further back.
In total the day attracted 88 players who were pleased that the recent wind and rain had made way for more sunny and breezy conditions.
Truro amateurs Darrah Dunleavy and Jack Mewton won the pairs from on last nine countback from the local pair of Paul Clahane and Dave Kneebone.
