Harold victorious at Little Aston

Jeremy Harold took the honours at Little Aston after a hotly contested 36-hole PGA in Staffordshire Professional Strokeplay event.

The Perton Park pro, who has had little playing time since suffering a major leg injury several years ago, carded a two-under-par score of 70 to take the victory from Dan Higgs (Walsall), Daniel Whitby Smith (Whittington Heath) and morning leader Simon Lynn (Trentham Park).

Lynn, who had carded a joint best of the day five-under round of 67 in the morning, fell away with an afternoon round 78.

His 67 was matched by Greg Rogula (Leek GC).
