Haste relishing new challenge

Anthony Haste is looking forward to another challenge in his career after being appointed head PGA Professional at Breedon Priory Golf Centre.

The 36 year old will oversee the day to day running of the golf operations, retail, and golf tuition at the north west Leicestershire club but will also use his experience in sales and marketing to increase the number of golfers playing.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for me at Breedon Priory Golf Centre,” said Haste.

“I am looking forward to a new challenge of running my own shop, continuing to develop the golfing facility, grow local interest in golf and optimise membership uptake.

“Having a 12 hole par-3 course, an 18 hole academy course and the 18-hole Priory course, it is a great facility and lends itself to the beginner all the way though to the accomplished golfer.”

Having established his career in golf at The Belfry, fulfilling various roles including golf sales account manager, golf operations manager, custom fit specialist and teaching professional.

In 2008 he moved to Cheshire as head professional at The Tytherington Club.
