There's no stopping Paul Hendriksen, the West's leading player this year. He even wins when he is injured.

He fell over and damaged his right wrist and was unable to hold a club for three days, but decided to compete in the Devon PGA medal at cold and windy Thurlestone.

The Ivybridge man showed his class to win by three shots after completing his round with four birdies in the last five holes for a one-over-par 72.

He was pursued by joint runners-up Neil Holman (Torbay Golf Centre), Richard Woods (Dainton Park), Kevin Harper (East Devon) and David Priestner, a trainee at Woodbury Park.

Hendriksen, who has qualified to play in next year's BMW PGA championship at Wentworth after a top ten finish in the PGA Play-Offs, leads the Order of Merit from Christian Vine (Woodbury Park) and Danny Guy (Torbay Golf Centre).
