Home win for Ashdon

Ashdon Brown (Three Rivers Golf & Country Club) recorded his first regional success with victory on home soil in the Three Rivers Golf & Country Club Pro-Am.

Brown shot a fine five-under 67 for a one-shot victory from James Scade (Litle Channels Golf Centre).

He racked up seven birdies – including at his 16th and 17th – to secure a narrow triumph.

Scade had every chance as he trailed by a sole stroke with three holes to go, But he closed out with a trip of pars.

Mason Papple (Stock Brook Manor Golf & Country Club) shot 69 and Rob Coles (Maylands Golf & Country Club) was a further stroke back in fourth place.
