Mark Hooper powered to victory in the season-opening PGA in Essex Championship pro-am at The Burstead Golf Club.
The Rayleigh Club PGA Professional made it a clean sweep in the curtain opening event on the PGA in Essex tournament schedule for 2014/15.
He shot an excellent five-under-par score of 66 to win the pro event by three shots from Jason Levermore of Channels Golf Club and by four from Chris Goddard of Romford Golf Club.
Five birdies and an eagle around a very tight but beautifully presented Burstead course was a fine effort and has set his PGA in Essex season off to a great start after a successful campaign in The PGA in England (East) region this summer.
He also combined with his team of Burstead members to win the pro-am event with a stableford score of 87 points. In second place in the team event was Chris Goddard's team with 83 points. Four teams finished two points further back on 81, with the team of Stephen Brooks (Upminster) taking third place on countback.
