Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) showed his domestic class again in winning the EMTEC Deer Park Masters tournament at the Livingston venue.

It is his seventh win of this season's PGA in Scotland Tour and follows quickly after his victory at the Ellon pro-am on July 31.

Hutcheon, tied for the lead at halfway with Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) on the five-under-par 67 mark pulled away from his rival with a 68 for nine-under 135 - two ahead of Fox who had a 70 for 137.

Hutcheon birdied the second, seventh, eighth, 15th and 18th in halves of 34. His only bogey came at the ninth.

Fox too kept mistakes to a minimum with a solitary bogey at the sixth but he could manage only three birdies - the eighth, 12th and 16th in halves of 36-34.

Greig's cheque for £2,529 boosts his season earnings to £21,384.

But Fox is still at the top of the Tartan Tour cash table with a total of £23,388 after adding on today's runner-up prize of £1,730.

In the Deer Park Masters, Mark Kerr (Marriott Dalmahoy) (69-70) and James McGhee (Bishopriggs) (70-69) tied for third place on 139 and earned £1,160 each.

Gareth Wright (West Linton) finished joint fifth on 140 after the day’s best round of 67.

The Welshman was on course to finish a lot closer to Messrs Hutcheon and Fox when he birdied the first, second, fourth and eighth but bogeys at the 10th and 11th left him with too much ground to make up although it was not for a lack of trying - he birdied the 12th, 14th, 15th and 18th for a last-day bag of eight birdies.
