International Members on the move

Matt Hough (pictured above) has joined the team Garden City Golf Club in Cambodia as their new Golf Operations Manager.

“It is extremely exciting to be given this opportunity at Garden City which is an IMG managed Club, having previously built a Golf Academy Business with IMG at Pine Rock Golf Club in Beidaihe, China, back in 2014-16. 

"The golf course at Garden City and its operation is already very strong and I am looking forward to building upon it further in the coming months. 

"The future potential, not just for the existing golf course but for the club as a complete golf destination within Asia is extremely promising and something I am very lucky to be apart of.”

Congratulations to Stuart Pusey has recently taken up a new role at Palm Springs International Golf Academy in Shenzhen, China. Stuart has worked in Asia for 14 years, starting out in Hong Kong before moving to the PGA Golf Academy in Beijing.

In 2012 Stuart moved to work for Mission Hills and was based on the Island of Hainan. After a move to Zhengzhou in 2015 where he would spend nearly 2 years working for I3 sports, he later returned to Mission Hills until the end of 2019.  

Brian Gibson has recently taken up a new role with Golf Saudi as a PGA Golf Professional. Prior to taking up his new role, Brian was based in China working at Jinji Lake in Suzhou and then at The Tradition Club, Chengdu.

Brian’s remit will involve assisting with the development of the Saudi National team and mass participation across the country. Working towards the Vision 2030 project Brian will be responsible for introducing the game to millions of Saudi Nationals across a series of activations at schools, universities, shopping malls, large sporting events and many more.

“A huge attraction of joining Golf Saudi are the plans to transform the country into a major golf and tourist destination," said Gibson. "There are multiple projects ongoing and the potential to grow and develop with the company is enormous. I am very excited to be part of such a ground breaking project."
