Online education designed to help golf coaches help their students.
The Golf Science Lab is a podcast and website dedicated to bringing to light golf related research in an understandable and practical way. The topics and content are highly relevant to YOU as a PGA Professional and will help you to increase the performance of your students.
Curated by Cordie Walker (@cordiewalker) the Golf Science Lab has (so far!) produced two seasons of a podcast focused on learning and performance which includes insights from Dr Mark Wilson discussing the benefits of Quiet Eye in Golf, Graeme McDowall and Peter Arnott talking constraints-based learning, and taking performance from the range to the course with Adam Young – to name just a few podcasts.
The articles, podcasts and resources provided are accessible 24/7, based on proven research (but yet very practical!), and tap into the knowledge and experience of experts from around the world.
“If anyone hasn't checked out @golfsciencelab and @cordiewalker your missing out. #getinvolved #changingthegame” - Stuart Morgan (PGA Advanced Professional), Director of Instruction at IJGA Hilton Head
“The Golf Science Lab is a fantastic resource for all sort of wonderful and exotic parts of the golf game that no one else is looking at.
I thoroughly recommend it to anyone interested in improving their golf education, understanding of how to learn motor skills, and how to perform better.
Make sure to listen to the Golf Science Lab, excellent stuff.” - Martin Hall (PGA Master Professional), Director of Instruction at The Club at IBIS & Host of School of Golf on Golf Channel
To get things started, if you are looking for a great episode to improve your education of how students learn, take a look at this Stop Wasting Time on the Driving Range episode with motor learning expert, Dr Tim Lee.
