James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City) made two eagles in a superb six-under-par 66 to win the Three Rivers Golf & Country Club Pro-Am.
The former Challenge Tour player also notched five birdies as he ended up the three-shot winner from Brett Taylor (Brett Taylor Golf).
Ruebotham played some sparkling stuff from the start, reaching four-under through seven holes.
There were a couple of blips around the turn but he was back on track with the first of his eagles coming at the 351-yard par-4 12th.
Two holes later and he was at it again, picking up two more shots against the card at a par-5. There was still time for another birdie on his way to his third East region victory of the year.
Taylor also played some great golf, bagging six birdies in his 69, while Ian Ellis (Great Yarmouth & Caister) was a further shot back in sole possession of third.
Ruebotham’s quartet also pipped Taylor’s by one to land the team event.
