James Webber completed a dream three days by adding a Weston Homes Bishop’s Stortford Pro-Am triumph to his Order of Merit success at the same venue.
The Three Rivers first-year assistant finished top of the pile again after a stunning five-under-par 66 to pip James Scade (Ingrebourne Links) by a shot.
The Essex golfer, 23, notched two eagles – both on par-4s – to confirm the favourable impression he’d created in winning the Weston Homes Bishop’s Stortford Classic over the two previous days.
Webber’s only major wobble in the Order of Merit event came in the second round with some putting problems on the 9th green, walking off it with a double bogey.
But 24 hours later and he improved on that by no less than four shots at the tricky 374-yard hole, sinking his approach to the green.
Another eagle followed at the driveable at 14th as he edged out Scade, who also enjoyed an excellent day.
Rob Coles (Maylands) finished tied third – as he did in the preceding Order of Merit event. The ex-European Tour pro shot 69, alongside Mark Stokes (Rayleigh Golf Range) and David Salisbury (Three Rivers).
