Scott Jackson outshone a strong field to win his first event in the PGA North Mansell Finishes Winter Series at West Lancs.
The 30-year-old Disley professional racked up eight birdies in a seven-under-par 65 to finish a shot ahead of Mossock Hall serial winner David Shacklady, and top a field which included Challenge Tour regulars Phil Archer and Garry Houston, and former Ryder Cup player David Gilford.
Jackson proved that he'd lost none of the form that earned him the PGA North Assistants' Order of Merit Crown last season, blotting his card only once with a bogey at the fifth.
North West Golf Academy's Steve Parry holds a four point lead in the Order of Merit with two out of six fixtures remaining.
