James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City) won for the second time this season after firing three-under-par at Brookmans Park.
He was one-over-par with only seven holes to go but conjured up a flurry of birdies to end up winning by a shot.
Ruebotham, who also won the Muswell Hill Pro-Am, was slowly away making a bogey at his opening hole – the 10th.
At the turn he’d got back to level before dropping immediately dropping a shot. But he birdied four holes in six down the stretch to finish with a flourish, signing for a 68.
Murray White, Ian Campbell (Cheshunt Park), Jason Levermore (Little Channels Golf Centre) and Darren Charlton (Dunstable Downs) shared second place after respective two-under-par rounds
The shot of the day was supplied by Carl Parker (Chadwell Springs) who had a hole-in-one at the 200-yard fourth. Parker, who would end up tying for 10th, made his fourth career ace with a perfect 4-iron.
Ben Talbot (Marriott Hanbury Manor) led the successful quartet in the pro-am on a total of 126.
