Sam Jarman and Guy Woodman (above) both hit a rich vein of form to set course records within the space of five days at the North Oxford and Newbury & Crookham pro-ams.
Jarman played the tricky North Oxford course in an impressive five-under-par 62 to set the new target finishing four strokes clear of Guy Woodman and five ahead of home professional Lee Jackson.
His great score also helped his team of Connor Hiles, Matt Henderson and Liam Talboys take first place in the team event with a score of 12-under-par.
A role reversal occurred three days later at Newbury & Crookham Golf Club when Woodman (East Berks) produced a brilliant six-under-par 63 in difficult breezy conditions to finish four ahead of Jarman and Paul Simpson (West Berks).
Woodman’s score helped his team of Michael Pearson, John Rhymes and David Tate, walk away with the Motocaddy trolleys on offer for the wining team.
Next up on the BB&O pro-am circuit is Tadmarton Heath.
