Kamara invests in ambitious range

Chris Kamara takes a lesson from Geoff Robins at Heathfield Park Driving Range.

Sky Sports football pundit Chris Kamara has taken his love of golf to the next level and invested in Heathfield Park Driving Range.

The former Swindon Town footballer, affectionately known as Kammy, has regularly visited the facility since its opening last year.

Kamara, who has also appeared in a number of television adverts, said: “I liked Heathfield Driving Range so much I decided to become a partner in the business.

“I look forward to meeting golfers when I am practicing and perfecting my golf swing at the facility.”

Proprietor at the facility, PGA Professional Geoff Robins said: “I couldn’t be happier to have Chris involved here.

“He is such a big personality and a golf fanatic, you couldn’t ask for more from a new investor.

Kamara’s investment will allow the club, which opened last year, to diversify and offer family-friendly activities such as foot-golf.

“We want to bring the whole family together and unite them using golf,” Robins explained.

“We’re looking at a range of options and feel that with Chris on board we have an exciting future ahead of us.”
