European Senior Tour stars Paul Wesselingh (above) and DJ Russell will return to Kedleston Park for a skins match with head PGA pro Ian Walley and McEvoy Trophy winner Bradley Moore to raise funds for charity.
Reigning Senior Order of Merit winner Wesselingh and Russell are both past head pros at the Derbyshire club and will be in action on Friday, March 28, in aid of the captain's charity which is the Parkinsons Society.
Wesselingh, Moore and Walley all savoured success in 2013 to help put the club’s name on the map.
Moore, a 15-year-old junior member, became one of the youngest ever winners of the McEvoy Trophy, while Walley won the coveted Lombard Trophy for the second year running as well the Golf Plan Insurance PGA Pro-Captain Challenge.
Wesselingh also established himself as Europe’s No.1 including successfully defending the ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship and winning the Bad Ragaz PGA Seniors Open, Fubon Senior Open and MCB Tour Championship.
Ian Neal, Kedleston Park chairman, said: “Kedleston Park has always been renowned for producing great players, but no one could have predicted the success of 2013.
“We wanted to mark the milestone and what better way to do that than by getting together the players, and their silverware, for a skins match in aid of charity.”
The skins match will be played over the first 12 holes and £50 will be up for grabs on each of the first 3 holes, £100 on holes 4-6, £150 on holes 7-9 and £200 from holes 10-12.
All funds will be split between, the Captain’s Charity and Charity of the winners’ choice. Kedleston Park general manager and 2014 Ryder Cup Referee, Robert Simpson, will referee the match, which starts at 2pm.
Admission is free and open to all members, guests and the public.
