Keir McNicoll fired a pair of 69s to win Shotts Golf Club's young professionals' 54-hole tournament by two strokes.
Gullane's McNicoll, who hails from Carnoustie and whose father was a professional footballer with Dunfermline Athletic, opened the door to his rivals by bogeying the fourth and seventh in the final round.
But a birdie at the ninth and an eagle three at the long 10th steadied the ship and he covered the remaining holes in level-par with birdies at the 14th and 15th cancelling out shots dropped at the 11th and 16th. He finished by carding a level-par aggregate of 210.
Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf), the pre-tournament favourite, tied for second place with Tom Dingwall (Kemnay) after hitting the 212 mark, O'Hara with rounds of 72, 72 and 68, Dingwall 73, 71 and 68.
