Kelly gatecrashes ‘local’ party

Scott Henderson (Kings Links) and Banchory's Greig Hutcheon did their best to make it an Aberdeenshire-only party at the top of the leaderboard in Turriff Pro-Am but 

But Cawder's Chris Kelly (pictured)) gatecrashed to be the outsider in the joint winning trio on the three-under-par 67 mark.

Counting up-and-coming Aberdonian Greg McBain (Gamola Golf), joint third on 68 alongside Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf), there were three ‘locals’ in the first five.

McBain led home the winning trio of amateurs, Iain Fairweather (6), William Nicol (18) and Bruce Melvin (4), representing Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions, with a net score of 21-under-par 119 - four shots ahead of the opposition.
