Levermore sets new course record

Jason Levermore from Channels Golf Club continued his successful year by winning the PGA in Essex Pro event at Colchester Golf Club.  

He did it in style by firing a course record seven-under-par 63 with a hole in one on the 150 yard 16^th hole.

Not to be outdone, Sean Carter from Epping Golf Club followed the first ace 45 minutes later by holing his tee shot at the same hole.

Aces are rare but to have two at the same hole in the space of less than an hour was enough to cause a small celebration in the clubhouse later. Joint second place was taken by Chase Davis of Stapleford Abbotts and Mark Talbott from Thorpe Hall who both shot three-under-par 67s to take the minor honours.

Best assistant was James Webber of Three Rivers Golf Club with a score of 72.
