Jason Levermore's preparations for next week's BMW PGA Championship continued in pleasing fashion with victory in the Essex PGA Open Pro-Am at Toot Hill.
The Channels Golf Club professional (above) fired a five-under-par 65 to win convincingly by five shots. It was his second recent success after also triumphing at the Hendon Pro-Am earlier this month.
Last year's PGA in England (East) Order of Merit winner Mark Hooper (The Rayleigh Club) recorded a level-par 70 to share second spot with Luke Eggleston (Loughton) and Mark Davis (Thorndon Park).
Leading contender for the highlight of the day came from Toot Hill's head professional - and the Essex PGA captain - Mark Bishop who aced the par-3, 12th hole.
The team competition was won by Levermore, Barney Cameron, Martin Gillett and Mike Partridge, who recorded 87 points - three more than their closest rivals.
