Levermore takes route 66 in Orsett success

Jason Levermore (Channels) stormed to victory at the Orsett Pro-Am thanks to a six-under-par 66.

Levermore racked up eight birdies on his way to a five-shot triumph.

He teed off at the 14th and was swiftly into gear, finding himself four-under through six holes.

The experienced Levermore never looked back as he powered to a convincing win.

Ben Kerr (West Suffolk Golf Centre) fired a 71 to finish in second place, a shot clear of Steve Cipa (South Essex Golf Centre), Michael Vandenberg (Rochford Hundred) and Mark Stokes (Rayleigh Golf Range).

Levermore also headed the winning team on a tally of 128 - two clear of the next best.
