Lewis putts on the style to win Harold Lees Trophy

07/09/2015

Lewis Jack Thompson won the coveted Harold Lees Trophy at Dore & Totley with remarkable five-under-par 67.

Thompson did all the hard work on the outward half when he picked up six birdies and blotted his card just once with a bogey at the sixth.

He then came home with a flawless set of figures, admitting he owed his success to a meagre 14 putts.

Thompson had a shot to spare over Owston Hall's James Freeman and Bedlingtonshire's Matthew Webb.
