Reigning Total Triumph Order of Merit champion Giuseppe Licata moved himself into second position in the table with his second win of the season at Forest Hills.

The Bristol based Italian produced some superb golf at the Coleford venue to finish with a three-under-par score of 69 and win by one shot from George Ryall.

His birdies came at the second and ninth on the outward nine with a stroke given back at the seventh. His back nine was seven pars bookended by birdies at the 10th and 18th to take him to a victory he quickly dedicated to a close and well-loved family member who passed away last week after a long battle with cancer.

Ryall also made four gains against par figures during his round at the seventh, 10th, 13th and 17th. His scorecard showed one bogey on each nine with the fourth and 16th being the holes to catch out the experienced Seniors Tour player.

Sharing third spot was Ryall’s young protégé Ashley Mansell (Clevedon) and Order of Merit Leader Ross Langdon (Gloucester) with one-under-par 71s.

Both players raced to two-under quickly in their rounds but each also dropped back to level-par by the turn. Mansell recorded two birdies coming home against just one bogey whilst Langdon’s one bogey was offset with an eagle three at the 15th to bring the pair to sub-par returns.

Langdon kept his challengers at arm’s length with another good haul of points but he now has Licata as his nearest rival heading into the final medal of 2015 at Worlebury.
