Swedish European Tour player Mikael Lundberg completed the double in the Brocket Hall Captain’s Charity Invitational pro-am played on the Palmerston course.
The 40-year-old’s round of seven-under-par 66 won the individual professional prize. He and amateurs Mike Norris, Chris Webb and Keith Mortimer also picked up the team prize with 16-under-par 130.
Lundberg, twice winner of the Russian Open in 2005 and 2008, is currently placed 169th in the Race to Dubai.
He produced sparkling form with seven birdies and had no dropped shots.
Runner-up was Welshman Mark Laskey who has played on the Challenge Tour and the Europro Tour this year. He was one shot behind. He also had seven birdies but slipped up with a bogey on the par-three 204-yard 14th hole.
Daniel Coughlan of Wyke Green took third with five-under-par 69. He had a blemish-free round with two birdies and an eagle on the 564-yard par five 18th hole. Khan, currently 38th in the Race to Dubai, had to settle for a share of fourth place with Phil Abbott of John O’Gaunt with their rounds of 69.
Ian Ellis (Costessey Park), Peter Cherry (Ashridge) and Mark Hooper (Rayleigh Golf Range) were joint sixth with rounds of 70.
Runners-up in the team event were Laskey, Mike Rodwell, Greg Lock and Neil Miller with 132. Third on count back with 134 were Simon Garner (Brocket Hall) with John McCarthy, Freddie Roe and Mark Shanley. The team with Daniel Field (East Herts) was fourth.
