Stuart Lunn-Walker, who has been working at the Hurstville Golf Club just south of Sydney, won the Crowlands Heath Golf Club Invitational Pro-Am. He included an eagle and four birdies in his round of five-under-par 61.
Lunn-Walker, formerly attached to Rayleigh Golf Range, has had experience competing in the Australian and Malaysian Tours.
The joint runners-up were Ashley Lucas from the host club and Ben Cooper of Bishop’s Stortford who were both three-under-par. Jason Levermore of Channels Golf Club, the 2012 Order of Merit winner in the East who made the cut in this year’s BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, was fourth at one-under-par.
Nick Moncur of Ingrebourne Links Golf Complex brought home the winning team of amateurs David Newmarch, Dave Newmarch and Tom Hunter at 17-under-par 115. Runners-up were Steve Cipa (South Essex Golf Centre) with Rich Cipa, Phoebe Cipa and Alice Hiluta who were 13-under-par. They beat Reiss Hollingsworth (Crowlands Heath) with Peter Halls, Steve Yeats and Paul Simmons into third place on countback.
