As stars from the European Senior Tour fight it out for the ISPS HANDA PGA Seniors Championship, disabled golfers such as Tony Lloyd above have been getting their golf in shape at the De Vere Mottram Hall venue with the help of PGA Professionals.
Craig Thomas, above right, is a PGA tutor who heads up the ISPS Handa PGA Academy Programme workshops which train PGA pros keen to specialise in disabled coaching.
During championship week Thomas, who is a PGA Advanced Professional, gave a disabled coaching clinic while in the tented village golfers got some expert advice at coaching nets.
Here Thomas explains just how the ISPS Handa PGA Academy Programme is making a lasting impact and the strides it is making to help golf become a Paralympic sport.
