Stephen Gallacher shared behind the scenes stories from Europe’s epic victory at Gleneagles during the annual PGA lunch at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.

The Scot proved a popular guest as he took to the stage with PGA chief executive Sandy Jones(right) for a question and answer session.

Meanwhile Canadian comedian Sean Collins (left) teed up the gags with a blind auction also helping raise valuable funds for the PGA Benevolent Fund which assists PGA Members fallen on difficult times.

Graham Maly, secretary for The PGA in England & Wales (North), who welcomed many of the region's supporters and sponsors, hailed the lunch a succes.

“It was a fantastic lunch and Stephen Gallacher was very good, especially with some of the behind the scenes stories from the Ryder Cup that you don’t normally get to hear about,” said Maly.

“The Ryder Cup was also there and that proved popular with some of the guests getting the chance to have their picture taken with it.

"It was also good to have so many of our sponsors there who provide such great support to the region every year."
