Man-of-the-moment Liam Bond (pictured) made his first appearance at the impressive new Dorset course Remedy Oak and achieved a runaway three-shot win in the annual pro-am with a sparkling round of seven-under-par 65.

The Marriott St Pierre touring player teed up for the first time since winning the Players Championship at Cumberwell Park the previous week to head the Race to Woodbury Park Order of Merit. He made eight birdies, seven threes and a two, and his only dropped shot came at the par four 14th.

It was his fifth win in 16 outings this year and the 10th time he has been in the top three. If he maintains this form he will make another attempt to regain his European Tour card at the end of the season.

Andy Beal (Salisbury) shared second with 68 in the Kitchen Elegance-sponsored event on a course where he invariably plays well, atoning for a first-hole bogey with six birdies. He was joined by Stuart Little (Minchinhampton New) whose round was boosted by an albatross two on the 535-yard par five fifth hole.

Dan Clark (Playgolf Bournemouth) again showed his potential after winning at Highcliffe Castle by finishing fourth on 69. PGA board member David Haines (Brean) threatened to take the course apart after making five birdies in the opening six holes but a double bogey at the seventh halted his progress.

But his flurry of birdies helped the CJR Propulsion team of Mark Russell, Martin Lown and Karl Weston take first team prize on 17-under-par 127.  Mill Run Projects players Anders Baker, Andrew Turner and Ashley Ricketts, headed by Paul Hendriksen (Dinnaton), were second on 129, beating Fit UK led by Roger Tuddenham (Hedge End) with Mike Phillips, Dan Walker and Dave Rushbrook.

Gary Emerson (Playgolf Bournemouth) with Nigel Stubbs, Paul Lovesy and David Sanderson were fourth on 130. Kitchen Elegance managing director Rob Rosselli made the presentations.
