McBain scores second win of season

Aberdeen's Greg McBain chalked up his second win of the Tartan Tour season with a three-under-par round of 67 in the BEN shotgun pro-am at Archerfield Links.

The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre player's first win was at Montrose in mid-July. He does have a cluster of top 10 finishes to his credit.

He won today's top prize by two shots from Chris Kelly, meantime unattached, with three players sharing third place on 70 - Scott Henderson (Kings Links), Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle) and Graeme Brown (Montrose Links).

Andrew Marshall (Houston Golf Range) led the amateur trio of Eric O'Donnell, Gordon Thompson and Robert McVie to victory in the pro-am team event with a 12-under-par score of 58.
