McCreadie and Robinson take Fourball Title

Jason McCreadie and Paul Robinson survived a late surge from their rivals to claim a well-deserved victory in the Tartan Tour’s Golfstream Fellowship Fourball Championship.

The duo, from Buchanan Castle and Largs respectively, beat Michael Patterson (Kilmacolm) and Paul Wilson (Cawder) by 2 and 1 in the 18-hole final at Dundonald Links.

McCreadie (above) and Robertson took an early lead and were always in control of the match although they had their victory margin slashed in the closing stages after being four up with five to play.

Patterson and Wilson mounted a comeback to make inroads on their deficit but when McCreadie birdied the 17th to halve the hole, the match was over.

The winning pair shared the £900 winner’s cheque and received an electric trolley each from Golfstream, the event sponsor.

Wilson and Patterson shared the runners-up prize of £500.
